I think that Atlus has older equipment, and put Megaten on substandard servers.

I think Aeria messed stuff up with junk like promo demons and as such made issues that Atlus must now fix. Additionally there may be a physical issue since pandora saga also went down

A backup generator? Hrm, maybe not. I suppose I could scope out the weather, there. Sometimes they have blackouts in the summer, and I know that it's been hot, lately.

i think atlus is doing a great job, relative to -- ive told this to anyone who talks shit on atlus -- nexon's work on mabinogi. people exploit bugs like mad and hack the hell out of mabinogi. still a great game and i may go back to that, regardless of how bad nexon handles it, or Turbine's LOTRO after i get a good ubelluris going.

Ah, but we old Megaten junkies have expectations of how this game should be handled, especially compared to our crack team of badass (and probably insane) GMs.

my bro found a application for working as a tester and/or GM for the developers of maplestory and this other game the other day. it required a bachelors degree. like wtf? seriously?
